Certifications & Accreditations
NTPS takes great pride in being a top ATO of the highest standards, having been recognized by every relevant accrediting body within aviation and higher education. Not only can NTPS boast of being the first Test Pilot School to achieve EASA Certification and the first to bestow a Master’s Degree, it is also setting the standards for effective management systems and customer satisfaction. NTPS is dedicated to meeting the challenges of a constantly evolving aviation industry and to improving the educational opportunities provided to our students. The following is a list of accreditations, certifications, and recognitions
Our mission is primarily accomplished through our professional courses and master’s programs that provide graduate-level flight test education and training to test pilots and flight test engineers who learn to safely and effectively plan, execute, and report on flight test programs for their military or civilian organizations.
Our mission is further accomplished through NTPS’ continuing education programs, flight test-related research programs, and flight test support activities that increase competency, safety, and the breadth of knowledge in the aviation and flight test professions.
University Accreditation
WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) accreditation aids institutions in developing and sustaining effective educational programs and assures the educational community and the general public that an accredited institution has met high standards of quality and effectiveness (https://www.wscuc.org/).
WSCUC accreditation represents the highest level of 3rd party validation of all aspects of the school’s operation.
NTPS’ WSCUC Accreditation Letter is displayed in the link below.
EASA Certification
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is an agency of the European Union (EU) with responsibility for civil aviation safety. Its mission is to promote the highest common standards of safety and environmental protection in civil aviation (https://www.easa.europa.eu/light/easa).
NTPS was the first EASA certified Flight Test ATO for both fixed and rotary wing Test Pilot and Flight Test Engineer, thus setting the standard for certification that others have followed. EASA represents yet another 3rd party to audit and validate the quality of NTPS training.
NTPS’ EASA ATO certificate is displayed in the link below.
ABET Accreditation
Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc (ABET) is a nonprofit, non-governmental agency that accredits programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering and engineering technology. ABET accreditation provides assurance that a college or university program meets the quality standards of the profession for which that program prepares graduates (https://www.abet.org/accreditation/).
NTPS is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria. It is the first Test Pilot School to attain a Master’s Degree accreditation.
